Meet the trainer

Hi, I’m Jade, a personal trainer in Aylesbury, and I know firsthand how scary the fitness world can feel. My job is to make it as easy as possible for you to exercise, without it feeling too much.

Before becoming a PT I was a police officer, civil servant, barista, and leisure centre duty manager. I spent years thinking I should look, train, and act a certain way, and it was exhausting. I was experiencing burnout, anxiety and depression and was on medication to help me manage, but I wasn't enjoying the work I was doing, so I eventually combined my love of learning with my love of helping people and became a PT, and I haven’t looked back since.

My life isn't all about the gym either. When I'm not coaching, I'm often found in a kitchen (eating or cooking), outside in nature with my dog, preferably in a forest or on a beach, or curled up with a book and a cuppa. Fitness isn't my life; it's just a part of it that keeps me able to do the things that I love.

Four years ago, I severely hurt my back, causing crippling pain where I couldn’t sit, stand, or lie down for long. Physiotherapy and a chiropractor helped a bit, but the only thing that actually fixed it was strength training. That’s why I've since completed additional training and qualifications to work specifically with people with long-term health conditions. To date, I’ve helped S reverse his non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, J's shoulder doesn’t fall out of the socket when she sleeps anymore, and M can confidently self-propel their wheelchair without it exhausting them.

Feeling like I didn’t fit in is exactly why I focus on helping people who are queer, neurodivergent, or just quietly fed up with being made to feel like they’re doing it wrong. The people you don’t usually picture in a gym are often the ones who’d benefit most from being there.

I’m not here to hand out a generic plan and push you toward someone else’s goals. I want to understand what you and your body need, what your life looks like, and how you want to feel - then together we make a plan to build exercise into your life around that.

I don’t have all the answers, and I won’t pretend that I do. But I’ll be honest, I adapt when things need to change, and I’ll never make you feel judged for where you’re starting.

If you're looking to start your fitness journey and want someone to help you feel safe doing it, then please reach out and I'll see if I can help!
